Chapter 10
Medical staff members rushed everywhere, stronger wizards repaired the school protection field. Some second and third years were rebuilding the roof and courtyard. First years were asked to help do whatever they could. I was busy rebuilding the walls when someone tapped me on my shoulder. I spun around slowly half expecting it was another hooded person and half expecting it to be Henor. Turns out it was Dasy. “God bless your safe!” I couldn’t resist being so relieved that he could see his sister again. “Whatcha doing?” “What does it look like?” I replied. “Looks like your adding brick to a concrete wall.” I look to see if she was telling the truth. She was right. I must’ve been so exhausted that material was confusing to me. “Whoops…” I quickly changed the part of the wall I rebuilt into concrete. “Hey, I need to talk to you about something. Meet me inside our dorm in ten minutes.” Then, she just flew off. I finished my job in only three minutes so I spent the rest of my time having a snack. Sitting on a bench, I heard a rustle behind me. Jumping, I noticed the bush I was sitting in front of was hiding a spirit pet. Digging through the brambles, I found a kitten. It sprinted away when it’s shelter was uncovered. Probably another students pet. When ten minutes was over, I headed to the dorms, when I found a sheet of paper stuck on the walkway of the courtyard. I picked it up but it was in such bad shape that I could barely make out it’s reading: Dear students of SOM, Die. No door will lead you to wictowee against me. Sawender. Last chance. Your world will die. Please except my warning. -L.k.z Heck no, this couldn’t be from the battle. I decided I should show it to the headmaster later in the day,so I tucked it into my pocket and kept on going. I walked into the entrance hall which was not damaged, the chandeliers still hung and the walls were still white and covered with paintings. The carpet was red and decorated with leaves, and large windows still decorate the interior here and there. Staircases still dot the hall, spiraling upwards to the next floor. I took the one on the far right corner of the hall, which leads up to the dorms. It was still light outside but on the clock, I could see it was already eight. I didn’t feel like flying so I walked to the room slowly, like a jogging zombie. My sister was already waiting in the room so I sat down in a chair and stared at her intently like she was about to tell me that it was the same guy that attacked her last time that came again but with his troops this time. “You know that person that attacked me last year, he came again today.” Now it's kind of obvious she read my mind so I sat there and listened to what she was about to tell me. “Do not trust your <sigh> uncle.” “Whaaat!!” this totally caught me off guard. “Why not?” She sighed again, “He was the one that wrote the note your pocket-” “Hey how do you know about it mind reader, x-ray girl or whatever, but how to suspect Bordy to be L.k.z, the one that tortured you and tried to destroy the school!?” after a long pause, I added, “Are you out of your mind!!” Dasy rolled her eyes, but then I remembered: “It’s not like I’m the dumbest person in the world you know?” It was like a dream now, when I look back at it but now I could see the ice cold flames burning in his eyes as he looked at me, not the I don’t believe it stare. I shivered from the memory. But still I refused to believe it. “That can’t be true, there’s not enough proof.” I find myself surprised at being able to say those few words in such a calm tone. “Well I have enough, twelve precisely, I will tell you when you finish your studies. You just gotta wait.” Dasy stood up and left the room afterwards. I didn’t try stopping her. Chapter 11: Dasy I honestly don’t know where I’m going but look, my facts are straight, Bordy, if that’s what Eden calls him, he is the hooded man, let's just call him by his real name actually. Lackrizor. Wow, that’s such a dumb name truthfully. Here’s the story of him, I didn’t tell Eden cause his world would rip in half, one, believing the truth, and the other, refusing the truth, loving his uncle: Lacky, was my uncle. I was his niece. This decision became faint when Lacky killed my grandparents one day. I loved grandma and grandpa but I still knew that they raised uncle poorly. He didn’t know that his family was poor so he thought they had no love for him instead of having no time for him. So when he finished his studies at SOM, being one of the most talented students unexpectedly without even mentoring, the school looked all over the world for him. He was 39 when he left, pretty old for a student here. That was when he killed my grandparents. As soon I saw him, I tried to kill him for what he had done. I was only on my first year of magic so trying to kill a professor? Not a success. This is when he withered into a dangerous wizard. Dark magic was the only spells he uses. He formed armies over the years, becoming stronger and stronger, and now, we just have to face him. <Yay>. Now I’m standing in the courtyard, my legs brung me here. I walked over to the cracked water fountain and repaired it. I didn’t feel like working with everybody doing similar things so I decided to fly. Turt came bounding toward me out of nowhere, I didn’t notice that I released him in the battle. I exhaled when I saw that he wasn’t hurt. Flying with Turt made me feel better, with the wind blowing across my face. When I was above the school, I could see the destruction the unexpected attack has caused. The school was rebuilding itself but the destruction is still large. The north wings roof was completely shattered and the east wing wall had several large holes. I estimated that it would take a few more days to have all destruction repaired. I finished college, or the academy, or you can call it the school, or SOM. The choice I made was for my brother. I decided to be a professor for three years and after that, I would be able to go out to live in the world with my brother. My first class was in one week. Physical magic. I didn’t expect being a professor was this hard, but I knew I would get used to it. Writing notes and thinking of assignments were the main problems. What was I going to teach? A second year class would want flying as their first lesson but the basic principles were hard to learn. I would have to teach the spell of levitation first, to let their minds get the basic idea and then have a course about safety in flying. That was three classes I have to teach. First the physical spell I chose, then the levitation, and then safety in flying. Alrighty. I was studying for how to act like a good teacher when someone knocked on the door. I knew it was Eden so I levitated the door open with ease. He came in and peered over my shoulder to see what I was reading. I could feel his breath on my neck, heaving from running. I turned around and looked at him, “ What do you want?” His voice was urgent as he said the few words that I did not expect: “Quick, I need you in the common room. The school headmaster died!” Chapter 12 My body was full of jitters, the headmaster has chosen me as the next person to look over the school from the troubles that may come. I was reading the pledge, my voice trembling from the pressure. Why did he pick me? I am only fourteen. “I pledge in honor of this school. In respect for the reality of magic. The days that may come shall not be troubled, under the leadership of me… <Blah...blah...blah>” When I finished, the whole school just stared at me like I shouldn’t have said those words. I didn’t want to either but the headmaster chose me. No one knew how he died but I personally expected that Lackrizor had killed him. Today, I taught my first class. The students thought it was an honor to be taught by the headmaster. It went smoothly. My classroom is located on the North wing. Almost everybody got the spell on their first try. I was proud of myself for being able to do so well. Now that I was able to teach them a physical spell, I was allowed to teach them anything else in any order, but the requirements were still there. Now I was lying on the bunk bed our room with my brother. He asked me about my first class and I replied with the truth. He smiled. “Aren’t you happy that you get your apprentice in two days?” Eden looks sad for some reason. “Yeah, but the thing that is bothering me is what you told me about Bordy.” He sat up. “If that’s true, then…” “Hey, I don’t want to bring that up again, there’s other things we can talk about,” I was trying to help him over the fact. “I can help you get ready to mentor your first student.” “Neh, I think I can handle it. My second class I taught which was in the afternoon of Sunday was even better than the first. By the end, all of my students could levitate an object at least three or four inches tall. I was sweating at the end of class from levitating a bookshelf off the floor. “When you levitate the object, you have to imagine that object floating in the air, then you move your hands and form your mind in a arzengilote format.” After the main goal in class was over, one student spoke up and asked me if he would learn to fly next class. His face was full of anxiety. “Next class you will learn the safety, then if you can move through all that, we might even have enough time to start learning to fly or even finish learning to fly.” “Why not you show us how to fly?” another student was standing on his desk. He jumped off with his arms spread out and landed on the floor with a thump. The students burst into laughter. I smiled and replied, “I’m sorry, not today, I don’t have anymore time.” But I promise I will show you next class.” That sounded dirpy, but my students didn’t seem to mind. They understood and left. I sighed. The students had left a mess, the classroom that used to have curtains on every window, desks lined up in order, with bookshelves full of books at each corner of the room and eternity lasting candles hung from the roof were all messed up. Papers littered the ground and curtains had stains. The books on the shelves were in a mess with no exact order. With a snap of my fingers the room was all clean and ordered again. I’m happy that I learned the spell or else I would be growing eight long arms out of my body to clean up, the old fashion way. I walked out of the classroom into the long carpeted hallway that had many branches leading out to other destinations. The dorms are on the east wing so I had to pass through the Common room before turning left. When I reached the room, I could hear my brother typing on his computer. I decided to sneak up on him so I turned into gas, and slipped through the gap in the doorway. Being a gas is like being human but you can float and you have no weight. You can also make your gas body split apart, change into different shapes, and surround something. The not beneficial part of changing into a different matter is that it is tiring to stay as the form for to long. In this case, I slipped through the gap and landed on the floor quietly changing back into my human form. This transformation is dark magic but the school never said you couldn’t do it. Then I tipped toed right behind him and put my hand on his shoulder. For some reason, he didn’t jump or flinch, he just kept on typing. Does he know I’m here? “Boo!!!” I yelled. He still didn’t seem to notice. Then someone jumped onto my back. I screamed and tumbled to the floor. “Ha! Gotcha!” I could here Eden behind me. “Wow! You really did trick me. How did you duplicate yourself?” I was totally caught off guard. Was he using some kind of dark magic too? “It’s just dark magic, like the one you used to turn into gas.” I guess he read my mind. “Where were you hiding?” I was curious. “Under the bed,” he smiled. I told my brother about my class and he shrugged. “I knew you would be a good teacher. The reasons are obvious. Hey wait, can’t you retire from the role of headmaster now? You have already served in the job for two weeks.” “I don’t want to quit. It’s nice being head of the school and plus, I can protect the school from-” I stopped. “Never mind, you want to go to get dinner?” “But it’s not time.” “I’m head-” “Oh yeah, let's go then,” he flew out the door dragging Retchen behind with him. I just threw out a portal and stepped through. But I didn’t reach the cafeteria when I stepped through. I was in a deep dark cave now. I jumped, looking around to see where the portal had brung me. Screaming, I could see the place was filled with dead bodies and the stench of rotting body tissue. Carcasses of deer and bears were scattered on the limestone. Suddenly a voice spoke in my ear: “Stay still, young one.” Chapter 13: Eden “Have you seen my sister!? Have you!?” man I was worried, she disappeared right when I left. I saw her open a portal but it didn’t go to any part of the school. No one knew where it lead. As I ran and asked every person I asked, other students and professors joined me. My apprentice that I mentored, Larry was right by me. The school was in chaos when they heard Dasy disappeared. I flew out a large window nearby and quickly ascended above the school. Other professors were up here to. They glanced at me worriedly like I was supposed to tell them what to do. Suddenly, I heard a scream, sounded just like Dasy from below and pummeled toward downward to where the scream came from like a peregrine falcon. A tree was rustling nearby when I landed hard on my feet. I ran to it as fast as I could and looked up. My sister suddenly fell out of the brambles, I caught her right before she hit the ground. Dasy was bruised, scarred, and cut at nearly every inch of her body. Her face had a large hole in it. An arm and leg were bleeding and she was gasping from the pain. “AAAAAAAAGH!” I screamed. I was sent running towards the school hospital, or nursing room as you might call it but that's not the point. “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, OH MY GOSH!!!” Now I sped up to like a hundred miles per hour racing through the West wing entrance and down the hall. Kids screamed as they saw what happened to Dasy. I slammed open the one room hospital and shoved my sister into a bed. “HELP!!!” I yelled. The nurse and doctor banged through another door located on the far right corner. They immediately started to treat my sister. Chapter 14 I buried my face in my pillow, just terrible, terrible. Lackrizor had already tried to kill her once and didn’t succeed, and now I could see how determined he was. Why does he want to kill Dasy anyways? What did he want that turned him into a greedy person like this with a dark spirit. And now that I know what a terrible person like him wants to do, killing him will be the first thing on my mind when I leave SOM. Even if he was my uncle, even if he was a nice guy in the real world, even if he ran a great bar, I will not stand him destroying the world and killing my sister. I stood up, put on my robe and walked briskly back to the nursing room where Dasy laid. She was put to sleep with medicine and took two doses of gormental health. I had no time for this. Shaking Dasy awake was the last thing on my mind but I had to. She woke up with a jolt and gave me the what now? look. “I’m not mentoring no more. Why do we have to teach students when they can just be taught by professors? And plus, I want to go out into the world and kill uncle.” That period right at the end of my words is like 5 inch tall probably. Dasy just stared at me hard, like she was trying to figure out if I was lying without using magic. She sat up and stood. Still looking at me like she was trying to read my mind, she took my hand and ran. My eyes bulged from seeing how fast she was dragging me. In two seconds, we were out the door and into the woods. I didn’t scream though, I don’t know why but when Dasy finally stopped in the middle of a clearing, she sat me down on a wooden log. Staring at me intently, and gave a pretty impressive speech about potions and stuff. When she finished, I just said the first thing that came to my mind. “What was that all about?” “If you want to kill your uncle then you have to get a full study on potions, he specializes in them.” “But already finished studying potions,” I complain, didn’t I already finish studying here? What does she mean. “No you didn’t, he doesn’t do liquid potions, he uses gas. These kinds send out infancitary drugs that give you all kinds of diseases when you breath it in, for example, alzheimer and smallpox,” she sat down on a rock. I stared at her like she just told me that an alien nuke will come tomorrow and destroy earth. For once, I was speechless and as I stared at her, my mind went blank. I fell off the log sprawled on the ground, and fainted. Well that wasn’t something to faint from but if you are a magician and you know that you could fight and defend yourself, potions that you cannot counteract against are so much more than dark magic and torturing spells. When I woke up, I was still in the clearing but Dasy was gone. Sitting up, I noticed it was already dinner time. I didn’t have enough energy to fly or teleport all the way back to the school. I found a sandwich wrapped in tinfoil on the log I was sitting on a few hours ago and split it in half to share with Retchen. Chapter 15: “You have two choices, come with me or die.” I spun around terrified looking for the source of the voice, I knew it was Lackrizor but my feet couldn’t move. “Where are you!!!” I was yelling angrily, just as frightened as I was angry. He was such a bad person. And I was sure that I could rip him to pieces now. Then outa’ nowhere, the big dumb ass fizzed into view infront o’ me with his scythe pointing at me threateningly. I jumped, and he moved toward me like he was afraid. Was he though? With the scythe still aimed at my neck, I ducked and quickly launched myself at him. He swerved out of my reach and kicked me in the face as I tumbled to the ground. I was battling my uncle, wow. And without thinking, I yelled out the words that he wouldn’t expect me to say in sixty years; “I know who you are, Bordy!” He froze for a few seconds, giving me enough time to get up and send some spells flying in his way. Recovered from the shock, looloo, I want to call him, reflected the streaks of light with his scythes handle, sending them flying in all directions. Then looloo unexpectedly rose into the air and barreled into me so quickly that I didn’t have time to process what was happening in my mind fast enough to block his ambush. I was held down on the ground by his scythe, and couldn’t move. “Hel ~urk~” looloo pressed the scythes handle into my neck. Now I was going to die, my sister survived miracuously but me, I can say that I won’t have much luck. I drifted into my thoughts of my dream of becoming an astronaut when I was not here at SOM and going out into the world with my sister when I was here. How many days I’ve spent in the world was plenty enough, but it didn’t seem like so, and if I was going to die now and not fulfill my dreams and stuff, I would be just useless. Killing this guy right now was not possible. That thought brung me back to what was happening, before I could move a muscle, Bordy whispered, “Well the seven has broken to six and delight will not roam the earth." Then he jerked the scythe toward the left and a blanket of blackness was brought down upon me. Opening my eyes, I could feel, wood on my back. So this was what hell felt like huh? I tried to stand but my head bonked on some more wood. As I became more conscious of my breath became more shallow. I felt around and found my surroundings were all wood. My limbs were stiff too. “Aah!!!” I yelled as I realized where I was. In a coffin! No way! Then that means I’m still alive. I reached up to my neck and felt around for the slit that Bordy had sliced in. It was gone! Oh my gosh. “~GAK~” I couldn’t breath, holy crap. I had to get out of this place and who knows how many feet I am buried underground. Without being allowed to breath, it was hard to cast a spell. My hand trembling from the effort, I managed to blast myself out of the coffin and up. Dirt brushed against my face as I rose up and up, and finally, when I thought I couldn’t go up much higher, my body burst into the clear atmosphere of SOM. I lay there, looking staring up at the night sky, wondering how this was possible. I remembered that weird dream I had when I was “dead”. There was a big red button in a lair which looked liked belonged to Batman but the air was full of something evil. Big maps of every kind circulated the room, they were all scribbled on in the handwriting I believe was my dads, or now my x-dad. In the middle was a holographic screen showing a series of black holes or something. A man sits at the hologram studying the images. I couldn’t see who the person was cause he was hooded and the room was dark. Nothing much more of what I can remember because it was just a glimpse. But I still can't wrap my mind around what I saw. Morning hit me before I realized so. But when I looked around, I wasn’t inside school grounds. Uh-oh. I looked around terrified, If any hikers had seen me when I came out of my grave, I would be in big trouble. I looked around and that was when I saw a boy fleeing away from the grassy field that I was resting on. Summoning all my energy I tried to conjure a cage to materialize around him but nothing happened. NO! I couldn’t have lost the ability to perform magic! Every Magician at SOM were required to learn to fight. They were to learn a deadly and fast moving martial art that uses speed and confusion to pin the opponent to the ground. Named Deputon unlike other fighting ways, punching and kicking were not part of the art. Mostly it is getting your target of balance and sending it a few brutal hits in the chest or face. I ran towards the witness who was nearly at the treeline of the Roman nose mountain. Lunging myself at boy, I was able to wrap my leg around his neck, kick his leg from under him with my other leg and spin him to the ground. I tried to turn him on his back he refused so I pressed my knee right under his Clavicle. He screeched in pain and gave up his appearance turning around to face me. His eyes were stretched wide in terror. I reached into my robe taking out a pocket knife and quickly jabbed it up his rib cage into the heart giving him a quick death. The reason of my doing is not of concern to anyone for it is the 9th requirement of a magician. Kill anyone who sees a magicians action. Simple as that but even if you don’t want to follow it, it is a requirement and requirements are requirements. Chapter 16: Dasy There are many things I regret about choosing to be headmaster. First off, if something went wrong for me, I don’t have the choice of looking up to someone for guidance. It would be lying if I said that I knew what had to be done in any situation. The choice of the schools existence was not chosen by anyone, it was just here when the earth formed which means humankind was in the age of dinosaurs and the very first moment of the completion of earth. Oof. Three years had passed since Eden died. I am on my was to L.k.z’s lair. I know his plan and all. Me and my team was heading there today, the dumb thing about it was that there were no traps on the way there and no defense but just a infinite forcefield. We have attacked the place a few times but the damage we found will reflect and leave scars on me and my team. Today, we were going to actually take down the field and attack their base. The six of us: Me, Corean, Jack, Dawn, Axel, and Gwen. We were ready for every possible attack that could come at us after the field is taken down. The geography was nothing more than cliffs and cliffs. My team had to sometimes jump off precipices to reach certain places to rest. Being headmaster was hard cause everybody treated me as leader of the group. Corean brought a flamethrower for some reason. She said that it might be useful. When we reached our destination something had seemed to change from the last time we came. The hollow was coated with moss and vines. My companions seemed to notice too. “Why are there vines and plants here now? Last time I checked, this bundle of rocks were just as lifeless as a desert.” I couldn’t bring myself to disagree with Gwen, after all, it was true and she was the girl that gets everything right. “Sounds to me like they want us to think that we are in the wrong spot.” Jack carefully put his hand on a vine but before I could yell NO, a blinding light flitted in our vision, and Jack was reduced to ashes. “HIIIISSSSSSSS!!!!!!!” My team had just enough time to turn around to see a mob of green cloaked figures ambush us from behind. They casted blinding spells at our bewildered huddle and we were pummeled to our bones. Sometime into the ambush, we were able to regain our stand, blocking the spells being thrown at us. Corean then drew her XL18 flamethrower and shooting flames all around the place. It was fascinating to watch as the attackers shrunk back in fear, some of them casting water spells or shields. The hollow burned. I was the first one to notice. There were drops of acid raining out of the sky. Soon, my companions also caught sight of the mystery cloud floating thirty or so feet above us. Our robes thick fabric were sizzling into ashes. It was dangerous and we had to get out of the situation soon. As I looked over my shoulder, a groan came from Axel. His red crimson robe was almost gone. His flesh was peeling away too. I had no choice but to retreat, as if nothing more was expected from us. We found ourselves in the cottage right outside of school grounds. That was where Dawn brought us to anyhow. As I looked around, I saw desks and chairs all around, but nothing else. “Welcome, this is where I live,” Dawn spreads his arms out like presenting the place to an audience. “I thought you had a dorm like us?” Gwen sounded more questioning than suggesting. She was looking around at the poor ragged place, I was doing the same and that's when I saw a photo on a desk near the window at the far side of the room. It was a selfie of me and Dawn, which speaking of so, we’re dating. Dawn saw where I was gazing and quickly cast an invisibility spell on it before anybody else saw the picture. He smiled mischievously at me and returned it back with seriously? We took a walk outside after we got Axel in a bed for him to heal. As we walked around the field, Corean suddenly wandered off to go look at something in the distance. One by one the rest of our group followed until we reached a dead boys body. Corean kneeled down to examine the kid. “He didn’t die from starvation or thirst, and there are nothing but bruises. Wait, there’s a cut right under the rib cage. So a knife huh?” She stood up and looked around. “This wasn’t done long ago, it might be from last night. Hmmm-” “Wait, something smells familiar about the boy. It’s so hard to remember though…” I couldn’t help but feel this was done by someone I knew. I tried to remember any clue that could of told me who did this. Chapter 17: Eden Living in a forest without magic is like swimming in an ocean without a swimming suit. I literally had to use the supply of food the boy carried and his axe. He brung that for some reason but it was useful because now my cabin is half way done from the wood I chopped. All I need to do now is the roof. Plus I think I will just live like Minecraft until someone finds me or I find someone from the school that can bring me back into the school grounds. Actually I don’t even think I should go back because I already mastered all the aspects of magic, except the gas potions Dasy told me about like, I don’t know? Three or four years ago? I certainly grew taller by 9 inches or so. <Sigh> It doesn’t help being a chatterbox, or in this case a thinkerbox. I was getting some wood on a particular day when I saw a group of people walking this way. As I watched, they came to a stop at the dead boy I killed yesterday. I strained my eyes hoping it was some of my fellow magicians. My spirit soared when I saw Dasy among them because only headmasters have black robes. I was about to jump out of the bushes when a thought caught in my mind. What if they don’t notice me, or Dasy resigned from her spot as headmaster. I’m not wearing a robe, or being able to do magic. Then they would kill me. Plus there robes had patches of burnt off cloth and magicians would never go out of the school grounds. Oh man, WHAT AM I GONNA DO?????? I quickly covered my mouth. I accidentally said that last part out loud. I ducked right before the group of magicians turned their attention to me. They quickly advanced on me and when they were almost at the bush I was hiding behind, I lunged out and forced the closest to me to the ground in one single Deputon move and lunged off of his shoulder slamming the next one in the chest with my elbow, she collapsed to the ground. Then I flipped onto the shoulder of another, slamming the heel of my shoe into his stomach. That loosened his muscles giving me a chance to throw him at the black robed magician. The magician was unpredictable though. Anonymous (Yeah let’s call the black wizard anonymous) dodged and was so fast that she spun around me in time to dodge a punch I threw at her. Anonymous kicked one of the legs from underneath me but I quickly forced that leg into anonymouses neck. Anonymous tried to counter but I had a hold on her arm, bringing her down with a brutal knock in the face with my knee. I pulled back her hood revealing Dasy’s face. Sighing I brung the four back to my log cabin that I just finished. Had I mentioned that I was one of the best Deputon students in the school? Well that made me able to take them out quite easily. Turned out the other three were Dawn, Corean and... Gwen, I think was her name. I laid them down on the four beds I installed there. Then I lit a fire and examined the wizards I knocked out. I dislocated Dasy’s jaw, which sucks, Dawn and Corean were okay, but Gwens spine was cracked. Looks like it’s gonna be a lot of work. I went out to get some more firewood for the fire. I made sure that it was quick because I don’t want them to become conscious without me there to explain what I did. All the while, I wondered what they were doing out here. I hope it wasn’t another attack from uncle. When I came back, I found Dasy looking around like she just got transported to harry potter world. When she saw me come through in, she froze eyeing me wearily. I smiled, what else would I do? Dasy was the first to speak. “So…” “No I don’t know how I am still alive, No I don’t no how to do magic, no I can’t get back in to school grounds, yes I killed that boy, and no I don’t know what you people are doing.” I was just saying the obvious. By now all the other wizards were woken and had sit up, except for gwen who had her spine cracked. I gave each of them some tea. It was night time but I didn’t feel like going to sleep. There was much to explain. Dasy spoke of her situation, I hadn’t noticed but she did grow a lot older. Then she told me about how she and her team went to L.k.z’s base to break the forcefield and how Jack died and the ambush and the acid rain and all that. “Wait, when I was dead for, how many years-” “Three” “Okay, three years, I had a vision of what might be L.k.z’s base actually.” The four magicians stared at me like I was out of my mind but should tell them what it was like anyways. So I did. Then I told the bewildered magicians who still were out of their minds from my sudden appearance out of the dead about how I survived in the wild these days and how I killed that boy. After all that was done, I remembered what Dasy told me about that wizard named Axel. “How about your friend Axel? Don’t you think we have to get him before he gets like……” “I’m right here you dumb ass!” I had just enough time to spin around on the stool I was sitting on to see Axel lunging at me with a knife in hand, about to thrust it into my chest. Oh and sorry I didn’t mention, I have a rivalry with Axel. I shrieked with nothing to defend myself but at the last second, Dasy barreled into him and they smashed through the wall leaving a ugly hole in my wall. Looks like this was how things were gonna play. Chapter 18 I wasn’t the first to wake up. I looked out of the window to see Dawn and Dasy practicing magic on a big rock. Dawn, always the funny one had turned the rock into a big rubber duck. Then Dasy made the duck run towards Dawn quaking. He shrieked as the rock barreled into him as Dasy just stood there laughing. “Funny huh?” I half jump half spin around to see Gwen next to me smiling. “Uh… yeah.” I said awkwardly still shocked by her sudden appearance. “ Hey how did your spine heal so quickly?” “Dasy gave me some riodoxin medicine. Works well. Hey let’s go out and join them.” She dashed out of the cabin with her orange robe flying behind her. I put on my dark blue one and followed slowly. Soon everyone was out in the field practicing their moves, except me. The sky was clear so it was going to be a good day. I watched Gwen and Axel in his light blue robe battle. That was when Dasy noticed I wasn’t doing anything. “Come on, aren’t you going to do some practicing with us? Oh yeah, you can't do magic for some reason, then I guess you’re just going to have to use blade, in fact I think you’re better with blade and Martials than magic.” “Alright you big chatterbox.” I pulled out a dagger, but Dasy instead gave me a samurai sword. “Seriously!?” How could Dasy have been carrying one of those! Aren’t they illegal? “Well Corean has a flamethrower so don’t ask me.” Dasy was right, in the distance I could see Corean using the XL18 blasting rounds of fire at Axel who was trying hard to block the fire and Gwen's outstanding moves at the same time. “So are you not going to practice? Cause we still have to go kill yo uncle.” “Alright,” sighed, clearly not ready for anything. Chapter 19: Dasy I had to explain to Eden what L.k.z’s plans were on the way to the base. I said that he would be putting it into action soon. L.k.z’s plan or operation was to transport a mass of human population to his spaceline base and teach them magic. Then Lackrizor will blow up earth and have the rest of humankind suffer under his orders. Eden and I have been training him using blade and me blasting varieties of spells at him to see how he would block them. We reached our destination by sunhigh or noon as many people call it. Strangely the force field was taken down like Lakrizors troops expected that we wouldn’t come this evening. Either way, my team was cautious. As we crept closer to the door to the underground lair, Axel suddenly stopped. He fell to the ground limp as can be scaring us all. I rushed to his body and tested his breathing. Good, he was still alive. I looked around to see the attacker who had casted the tier 1 stroke spell. That’s when Lackrizor stepped out of the doorway. “Welcome to death.” He was holding his scythe and in a flash, he was at the closest one to him. Corean, she shrieked at the speed of his ambush and the blade that pressed hard into her throat. Then Eden lunged at his uncle with lightning speed but Bordy stabbed him with the end of his scythe and yelled the mystic battle cry: 开始攻击!! A hundred or so green cloaked figures surrounded us. It was chaos the second they appeared. Corean throwing flames, Dawn casting his specialties: illusions, Gwen holding up a shield around her teammates at the same time blasting shocker streaks out of her left hand, Axel using his superior strength to conjure boulders and throwing them and of course Eden, who was so fast that I couldn’t keep track of where he was. I turned my attention to what Bordy was doing. I used a spell to hear what he was saying to his first-mate. And what I heard was what I feared most. He was going to activate the plan. I quickly found Eden and told him the condition. We quickly headed towards the direction Bordy was heading. Several cloaked figures tried to stop us but Eden stabbed them before I could cast a spell. We dodged streaks of light, lasers, and balls of poison and other dangerous substances that were flying everywhere. When we caught up to Bordy he had already reached the control center. It was just the way Eden had described it in his dream. When he saw us enter, he looked at the two of us pulling up the hood revealing his face. Smiling he pressed the red button and he was gone.. Chapter 20: Eden And that was it. The rest of our group rushed in to find me and Dasy staring at the spot Bordy had been two seconds ago. Before they could ask what happened the earth started to rumble. There was a deafening crack as the earth started breaking into pieces. Everyone knew when Earth starts breaking. Even animals. It was over, and there was nothing that could stop this now. Hope has smothered into ashes and our team just stood there in that cave. And all we could do was to fly to an altitude of great height and watch as earth crumbled. So we did. It was a marvelous sight despite what was really happening. The other wizards had come out of their schools and places. What now. Soon earth was nothing but dust, the cities and world had disappeared. Only survivors, us magicians. And we knew what we had to do. So we flew off in search of a new home.
